The first step in my many blogging adventures.

Well, hello world!

You're probably reading this blog because I posted a link to it somewhere. Or maybe you found it by sheer luck. Either way, welcome to my blog.

I will be using this blog mostly to kee
p everyone updated on my t
raveling adventures which will be taking place over the course of the next several months. My internet access will be limited, but I will be able to blog through my email (which will be unlimited!), so this is how to find out what's going down.

So here's a bit of starting info:
<---That's me! But, you probably already knew that. My name is Nikole Souza, more commonly referred to as Nikki. I'm 20 years old and currently majoring in Acting at The Academy of Art University. I will be graduating this May with my Associates degree.

So, what to do after graduating? Well first, I'll be heading back
to Duxbury, Massachusetts to take part in my third summer as a counselor at Camp Wing, a summer camp run through crossroads for kids. It is an organization that allows kids to be kids during the summer, when they have to behave like adults during the year. The program focuses on at-risk youth through the Boston
area. I will be there from June 22-August 25th of this year.

After this, I will be cruising up to Montreal, Canada to embark on my Semester at Sea. For those of you unfamiliar with this program, it is an academic program run by the Institute for Shipboard Education and The Universi
ty of Virginia. 500-700 college students will be enrolling in classes to study while circumnavigating the globe. Lots of fancy words for: I'm seeing the mother-flipping world, dude. And learning while I'm doing it. Say whaaaaat? Through this program, I will be making stops in Morocco, Ghana, South Africa, Mauritius, India, Malaysia, VietNam, China, Japan, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, and I will be arriving back in Florida. Here is a map of how that's going to look:

Pretty awesome, right?

But is that enough for me? Nope. Of course not! Why on EARTH would I finish up there?

After I come back from that trip in December, I will have roughly three weeks to prepare for my next adventure: A 6 month volunteer trip to Australia. Oh yeah. This program I don't have many details for yet, but I will be finding out sometime this summer where exactly I will be placed and what I will be doing.**

So, that's what I'm getting ready for. But today, I must write a paper for my Craft of Comedy class.

Au Revoir, people!

**Edit- Because of some changes through the program I'm going through, Australia is no longer available as a place to volunteer. I am not in the process of deciding where I will be going, but New Zealand is my next choice!
