Oh, money.
So, I didn't receive the presidential scholarship I was so looking forward to. It would have given me a full ride to semester at sea.
After getting this news, I feel like I've watched my dream slowly circle down the drain.
The rest of the scholarships are due next week, and I've finished all of my essays and I plan on sending them out tomorrow (next day mail) so they will get there on time, but I'm still very nervous,
For a while,I was telling myself "Fuck it, I'm willing to take out as many loans as it takes to afford this trip!"
However, realistically, I realize that I am not comfortable with being almost $30,000 in debt for ONE semester.
If I don't get at least half of the money in scholarships, I don't think I will be able to attend Semester at Sea.
That said, if you know anyone who owns a small business or who happens to be very rich and friendly, please put me in touch with them. If they could donate even a little bit of money, it would help me tremendously.
